Ducks Recall Defenseman Aaron Rome

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman Aaron Rome from the Portland Pirates, Anaheim’s development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Rome, 23 (9/27/83), has appeared in 33 games with Portland in 2006-2007, earning 4-9=13 points with 55 penalty minutes and a +8 rating. The 6-1, 230-pound defenseman played 64 games with Portland a season ago, setting professional career highs in goals (5), assists (19) and points (24). Rome has never appeared in an NHL game.

A native of Nesbitt, Manitoba, Rome was signed as a free agent on June 7, 2004. He was originally drafted by Los Angeles in the fourth round (104th overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

We can thank Mr Best Western for that trade. There was no way he was going to say bye bye to Whitey. Thats what Dean said when he first got here that there would be no Board Of Directors ever billit again & good for him. This is one Board Member they should show the door too, The guy hates young hockey & ball teams staying at his Motel & i do find it a joke. When ever anybody asks me where to stay his Motel is the last one i will mention. Joe its time for your smart ass to step aside. Thanks that felt good to let some steam off on this jerk.
