15 yr old defencman Cody carlson is called up for tonights game. Keetley gets another start
Scratches:trevor Glass, Darren Helm, Kris Russel, Daine Todd, Jakub Rumpel

1st Period

Tigers start off the game, with kelowna gaining the early momentum. Fight vs Mcuewen and dorsett. Mcuwen feeds dorsett multiple shots right off the face-off, dorsett doesnt have a chance to land any, refs jumps in early without too much damage being taken. And Bendfeld takes an early hooking penalty.

Miscommunication by the tigers D allows chris ray to slip in, and get a breakaway in which he is hauled down by gord baldwin, penalty shot awarded.

Ray goes in, keetley look to pokecheck, and ray tucks it in in the right hand glove side.

Nearing the end of the first and kelowna gets into penalty trouble, and the tigers make em pay. Ennis delfects a shot from bendfeld, and schlemko.
Kelowna takes another penalty and the tigers will have a 5 on 3 to start the second

Shots 12- 9 IN favor of Kelowna

1st period comments
Tigers start off slow, but are starting to gain momentum. Keetley is playing good despite the first period goal by kelowna. Adjustments: Tigers need to finish thier checks, and keep the pressure in kelowna's end

2nd period

Tigers pressuring early and on the powerplay jordan bendfeld slaps it in from the point, looks like bosch may have deflected it in. Dorsett takes an uncalled for unsportsmanlike penalty for beakin at the ref, after an offside called?
Tigers starting to play much better, winning more one on one battles. Kelowna only had 1 0r 2 quality chances, and the tigers were pressuring them in thier zone, all period. Cody carlson the call up is playing really well, playing with a bunch of energy, and playing very well positionally

Medicine Hat outshott kelowna 17-6 . Making it 26-18 in favor of the tigers overall.

2nd period comments: Tigers should keep doing what thier doing, keep pressuring kelowna. Finish their hits, get in the open, make strong passes, and look for the guy in open ice.

3rd Period

After the tigers were pressuring Kelowna down low, Kelowna makes a rush up the ice and Brandon Mcmillan scores(first ever whl goal) on the rebound from luke schenn, and rightcruse(sp). Tigers take a penalty, and the momentum switches back to kelowna.

Just after killing off the first penalty Derek Dorsett takes another unnecesary slashing penalty.

With momentum on kelowna's side, and the ym webcam service crashing kelowna scores another goal Breitkreuz, (4) (Bloodoff, McMillan)

After that the tiger looked like they were just destined to lose, as kelowna kept pressuring them through most of the remaning time left.

Then as times winds down, dorsett takes a shot at somebody right in front of the kelowna bench and draws everybody in.

Shots 11- 6 For Kelowna
32-29 In favor of Medicine hat

Undershute squares of with Schenn??
Undershute starts with a solid punch right on the nose, but after that its all schenn. He Lands numerous shots, and continued to punch after hitting the ice, and looked like undershute was leaking a little from the mouth or nose area.

Chris Stevens fights Clayton Barthel???

Stevens get pounded on by a bigger Barthel, with barthel landed numerous shots straight from the start

Dorsett vs McEwan didnt really see this fight as, i was keeping an eye on the other two, looked more like a pushing match

(Not sure if these combatants are 100% right)

Summary: Going into the third period in a one goal game, the tigers thought it must be a perfect time to fall asleep. Failing to register a shot untill halfway through the third period, kelowna kept the majority of play in the tigers end.

keetely played a better game today, but kelowna was just the better team, In the first, and third period.

The tigers played thier game in the second period, but couldnt keep it up.

I thought dorsett had a horrible game, and kelowna wanted it more.

I was really impressed with this kid in preseason play this year. He reminds me a lot of Tyler Ennis, only a little more size. I'm thinking he will definitely be in our line-up as a 16 year old next season.

Sigh. Well it looks like we may be in for a tough road ahead, untill helm and russel get back. One positive is jordan bendfeld looks like he's picked up his game

Cody carlson looks like he could have probably played limited minutes this year but as a 15 yr old he'd be too young.
