Calgary, AB - The Western Hockey League today announced that Aaron Gagnon of the Seattle Thunderbirds has been named the HUSKY WHL Player of the Month for December.

Gagnon, a 20-year-old native of Armstrong, B.C., recorded 15 goals and 13 assists for 28 points, and boasted a +11 plus/minus rating in 14 games in the month of December, leading the Thunderbirds to an 8-3-0-3 record in that span.

Gagnon recorded points in 12 of the Thunderbirds' 14 games in the month of December, and scored at least one goal in nine of the games. He recorded nine multi-point games and five multi-goal games, including one hat trick, in December.

Gagnon, who is a free agent, also recorded six power play goals and two game-winning goals in December. The 5' 11", 189-pound centre currently ranks fourth in WHL scoring with 52 points this season. He was selected the BOSTON PIZZA WHL Player of the Week for the week ending December 3rd.

His accomplishments make Aaron Gagnon a deserving choice as the HUSKY WHL Player of the Month for December.
