Doyle Headed to Top Prospect's Game
JAN 15 - Recently acquired Broncos defenseman Eric Doyle will be representing the team at this year’s 2007 Home Hardware CHL Top Prospect’s game, which is set to take place this Wednesday in Quebec City, Quebec and will be hosted by the 2006 Memorial Cup winning Quebec Ramparts of the QMJHL.

The Broncos traded for Doyle on last Wednesday’s WHL trade deadline. He will be the first Broncos player to attend the top prospects game since David Schulz in 2004. Eric was originally drafted by the Everett Silvertips in the 1st round of the 2004 WHL Bantam Draft and could be a 1st round pick in the upcoming 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Doyle is currently ranked 19th among North American skaters by the NHL’s Central Scouting.

Eric will be playing for team Burns/Bergeron and will be joined by 5 other WHL defenseman in Keaton Ellerby (KAM), Thomas Hickey (SEA), John Negrin (KOO), Alex Plante (CAL), and Nick Ross (REG).

This year’s CHL Home Hardware Top Prospects game can be seen live on Roger’s Sportsnet Wednesday night at 6:00pm local time.

Let's hope he turns out better than Schulz.

I think he will...in fact, I'm SURE he will. We got something good for Shulz though anyway, didn't we?? We got Ned for him in the end...Haha...what a ripoff!
But I'm almost positive about this kid. He had trade issues on the weekend, but man, he sees everything really good...awesome outlet pass, too! Watched all three games on the weekend online. That assist he had in Calgary was really cool!

Apparently a lot of the scouts at tonight's game and a few previous really thought that Postma should have been asked to the prospects game as well. So hats off to you as well Paul, and keep on improving.
