HOCKEY TOWN NORTH REPORT: Saturday the Raiders saw their four game road unbeaten streak (3-0-1) come to an end as they lost 6-1 to the Wheat Kings in Brandon…One week ago tonight the Raiders shut out the Swift Current Broncos 1-0 at the Comuniplex…Saturday's loss dropped the Raiders record to 24-28-5-4 (15-10-2-4 at home, 9-18-3-0 on the road) for 57 points, third in the WHL East 23 ahead of the fourth place Moose Jaw Warriors and 19 behind Saskatoon and Brandon who are tied for first…The Raiders have clinched their second straight playoff spot, and can finish no lower than third in the division…The Raiders are 4-5-1 in their past ten outings… Saturday in Brandon, the Wheat Kings opened the scoring on the power play 5 minutes into the game…The Raiders responded just 12 seconds later, with Brandon regaining their lead less than a minute after that…It was 3-1 and 5-1 at the periods breaks…The Wheat Kings out shot the Raiders 29-26…The Raiders were assessed a season high 93 minutes in penalties plus 10 misconducts and 3 game misconducts in Brandon Saturday…The Raiders are averaging 23.0 minutes in penalties/game, 4th in the WHL, moving up 2 stops as a result of Saturday…The Raiders have 24 players - 2 goaltenders, 7 defencemen & 15 forwards…The Raiders have 3 20 year-olds, 7 19 year-olds, 6 18 year-olds, 4 17 year-olds & 4 16 year-olds.
