Look on the bright side. Over the Chiefs nine day trip, there will be an estimated 171 hours not spent on the bus. If you’re the glass-half-empty type of crowd, there will be 41 hours on a 46-foot bus traveling through the Canadian prairies to play seven games during the span.

Wednesday, the Chiefs will begin their first leg of the trip, an overnighter to get to Regina, where they will stay before traveling once more to Brandon to play the Wheat Kings on Friday night. That trip will take up close to 1,000 of the 2,400 miles Spokane will spend on the road when they take on all six East Division teams and finishing the trip with the Central Division’s Kootenay Ice for kickers.
