this happened right in front of us, it was a brutal sight seeing him just laying there and the blood coming out, props to having Duane Bartley and the Ambulance on site and dealing with the matter quickly

Sabes, did you see what happened? Did he lose his footing, hit the boards, checked? I hope he has a speedy recovery.

What an awful and extremely unfortunate thing to happen in what is a fun event for both players and fans.
I'm guessing he was wearing a helmet at an event like that? These are all guys that played at a high level, and you never really lose the desire to perform to the best of your current skill and shape level. I'm sure they give 'er pretty good out there for these things. But, I would sure hope it was an accidental, unintentional incident.
And, most of all, I sure hope everything turns out well for him.

there was a scrum in front of Gunn and the Blades alum were crashing the net. I missed who hooked/tripped him as the blade on the other side of the net was jamming the puck in. I have been told by a couple people that it was Dale McFee that got the stick on Kachur, but I missed the initial infraction so I can't say 100%
