Congrats to the Blazers, not only for attaining the division lead at this stage of the season but also for doing so after not being picked (in the pre-season) to even seriously contend for the division lead at this stage of the season.

It's gut-check time for both teams... This should be a fun division rivalry to watch! I predict some great hockey ahead, in games between these teams.

With Kamloops taking the lead in the division do to wins at this point pushes the Spot Light onto Friday nights meeting Between the Blazers and Giants this truely should be a playoff quality game as well as playoff quality atmosphere in Kamloops with the Blazers expecting the Biggest turn out of the year and Friday night and for First place in the division how great is that. Also, to make the game even better it is being Televised on Shaw cable even though the shaw guys clearly have a "Love Affair" with the Giants organization but I'm sure im just one of a lot of people excited for this meeting

GO BLAZERS GO
5-3 Blazer Win

Also Giants fans who do you think will get the Start Sexsmith or Neufeld?

Contending for the division lead was the furthest thing from the minds of the "experts". Case in point, PG Citizen sports editor and soothsayer-extraordinaire Jim Swanson, who 5 games into the season declared the Blazers "a terrible team" (extra emphasis on "terrible") and confidently predicted them to finish a distant 5th in the division.

It's hard to believe someone could be that wrong. I mean that wasn't even close. And people pay this guy for his opinions.
