Broncos and Warriors Meet Once Again
JAN 27 - The Swift Current Broncos get set to take on the Moose Jaw Warriors for the 6th time this season on Sunday night for another classic battle. The game is also Tim Horton’s night and they will be on hand all night to distribute some great prizes.
The Broncos won the 1st game of the season series against the Warriors by a 4-1 score on October 18th but have since dropped 4 straight to the Warriors and are now 1-4 in the season series. Moose Jaw has outscored the Broncos 21-13 in the previous 5 games. The two clubs last met on January 19th in Moose Jaw that saw the Warriors skate away with a 5-2 victory.
Brady Leavold (2G; 2A) and Daniel Rakos (1G; 3A) lead the way for the Broncos against the Warriors this season. Leavold also has a team leading 31 penalty minutes verses Moose Jaw this year. Meanwhile, Riley Holzapfel has 10 points (7G; 3A) in 5 games played against the Broncos in 2006/07.
As part of Tim Horton’s Night, the first 1,000 fans through the door will receive a free package of Tim Horton’s coffee! There will also be a bin in the lobby area for fans to enter their name and one lucky person who enters will walk away with a limited edition Tim Horton’s Coffee Maker.
