OFFENSIVE PLAYER - Sponsored by the Western Hockey League (WHL)

Steph Vigier a forward with the Pembina Valley Hawks is the AAA Midget WHL player of the Month.

In the month of January he scored 7 goals and assisted on 10 others in helping the Hawks to 14 out of a possible 16 points. The second year captain of our team is the spark plug of our offense, the team leader in points and one of hardest working players. His tenacious pressure on the pursuit of the puck in the offensive zone enables him to create scoring opportunities for himself and his linemates. He is a threat to score whether it is even strength, power play, or short handed situations. He is a quiet leader and lets his abilities on the ice speak for his dedication to his team. He has great overall skills, comes to play every game, and is willing to do what it takes to become better and make his team better.

Steph is a Raider propsect with alot of potential.

He looked good enough to make the team this year.

He probably should have made it like Andy Smith should have made it last year. The 5ft 8 in 150 lbs probably had something to do with it. Hopefully Anholt/Clark has realized that guys like Elder shouldn't be taken over guys with skill even though they don't have the size. Should be an interesting team with a lot of small speedy forwards next year.

Clarke is going to have to do a selling job to this guy. He is a smaller player and maybe he thinks he has a better chance going tier 2 and then american college. The raiders need to somehow show him a commitment and hopefully he will commit to the Raiders...

Clark needs to find a place for all these kids to play. here are not many holes to fill with all these kids comming up

You're right about that. Will be tons of guys back, plus lots of talented rookies digging for spots. Could be interesting to see which rookies earn a spot and which vets don't. Hope Anholt doesn't just go with a vet because he's got a year or two of game experience, when there's a couple of younger guys that could have an impact if given a chance.
Guys better come to camp hungry next year! nhl

That's the main part right there, too much favoritism going on
