ZACH HAMILL NAMED WHL PLAYER OF THE MONTH

The Western Hockey League today announced that Zach Hamill of the Everett Silvertips has been named the HUSKY WHL Player of the Month for January.

Hamill, an 18-year-old native of Port Coquitlam, B.C., recorded six goals and 18 assists for 24 points, and boasted a +11 plus/minus rating in 12 games in the month of January, leading the Silvertips to an 9-2-0-1 record in that span.

Hamill recorded points in 10 of the Silvertips' 12 games in the month of December, and enjoyed a nine- game points streak from January 7th to January 31st during which he scored five goals and 23 points. He also recorded a career-high seven points - three goals and four assists - in a victory over the Portland Winter Hawks on January 26th.

Hamill, who is eligible for the 2007 NHL draft, also participated in the 2007 Home Hardware CHL / NHL Top Prospects game in Quebec, QC, and was named the BOSTON PIZZA WHL Player of the Week for the week ending January 28th.

Hamill, a 5' 11", 190-pound centre, currently leads the WHL in scoring with 72 points, and assists with 50 this season.

His accomplishments make Zach Hamill a deserving choice as the HUSKY WHL Player of the Month for January.
