Is there a better young combination? A highly offensive D-man with a huge shutdown powerchecking D-man. Blades may have a starting D-pair of 16 year olds next season.

Funk - Ward (2 players very familiar with eachother)
Klassen - Zahn (little WHL experience but impressive NTL)
Berg - Elliot (the future of the Saskatoon Blades)
Friesen - Canart - Clements (tough choice for 7th D-man)

I think the top 2 lines will get the majority of ice time but when mid-season rolls around i believe it will be split evenly with Berg and Elliot being the starting PP blue liners. Im guessing Canart will be a 7th defenceman and the other 2 will be callups or maybe traded away.

that looks pretty decent. man Lorne is doing a good job of stocking up with D for the next few years

That is a pretty good way of summing up the defense next year. The Blades are looking very promising in the years to come.
