Thats not like Everett at all to let teams back into games when leading in the third.

The thing that disturbs me is it WAS a problem earl in the year, as could have been expected with a young team, but they seemed to "grow" out of it. Now, it's two nights in a row. They held a 2-0 and 3-1 lead against the Giants on Saturday before finally winning 4-3 in OT. Then, of course, last night a 3-0 advantage turns into a 3-3 tie with 39 shots given up.

From the Everett Herald:

"There's a lot of guys in that dressing room right now who kind of consider this a loss," Everett captain Mitch Love said. "We had a good chance, with Portland right on our tails, to get two points. We didn't get the job done."

"I think the turning point was they went up 3-0 and we came back right away and scored to make it 3-1 - they gave us a goal," Tri-City coach Don Nachbaur said. "I give the guys credit, we haven't hung our heads this year to the point where we stop playing."

All three of Tri-City's goals came off shots from the point.

"Three-one going into the third period in our own building, and we let the defensemen score both the goals when we know that the defense is the key to their team offensively?," Leavitt asked. "The wingers let both goals in from the point and it's just stupid. It's awful."

The Silvertips led 3-2 and had two chances to put the game away when Leavitt and Michael Wuchterl had breakaway opportunities. Price made glove saves both times to keep Tri-City in the game. Price, making his sixth start in nine days, finished with 22 saves.

Wall made 35 saves in goal for Everett.

For the second straight game there were no penalties called in the third period or overtime.
