Found this on the Moose Jaw Times Herald Site it was posted at 7:55 AM on 03/03/07... http://www.mjtimes.sk.ca/index.cfm?sid=14570&sc=9

"Cody Thoring was added to the injury list Friday. The 20-year-old blue liner was crunched into the side boards early in the first period. In obvious pain, he grabbed for his side and it is feared he has suffered a hip or pelvis injury. He left the ice via stretcher and was being evaluated in hospital at press time."

Thoring Likely Out For Season

Swift Current native and former "AAA" Legionnaire Cody Thoring may have seen his WHL career come to a crashing halt.

Last night the Moose Jaw Warriors defenseman was hit along the boards by Tri City American big rig Aaron Boogard. The hit happened in the opening minute of the game as Thoring pinched in off the blueline for a loose puck he was attempting to keep in the offensive zone. Boogard threw his 235+ pounds into Thoring as he crashed hard into the boards and glass.

Thoring was helped off in a stretcher and in a conversation today with Warriors play-by-play man James Gallo, the Warriors are calling it a lower body/back injury and his season is likely over. Thoring was in his final season in the league as a 20 year-old and was dealt to the Warriors from Everett near the trade deadline in the Carter Smith/Jesse Zetariuk for Brady Calla/Cody Thoring deal.

Thoring is said to be in hospital and it good spirits.

That really sucks for Thoring.

Hopefully he will have a speedy recovery and be ok.

Best of Luck Cody and get well soon.

Thoring has broke has pelvis and a a vertabrae in his spine. He has to sit on his back for 6 weeks, the only thing he can move is his arms. But he has to take deep breaths also.If he doesn't he will get mono or pneumonia (one of the two) it is because he has to be on his back for so long.

From Keen's Korner http://jonkeen.blogspot.com/

Monday March 6

In other news I talked with Clare Thoring today, Cody's dad. He says Cody doesn't have a broken pelvis but it has shifted somewhat. He says they will no more on the back problems by the end of the day. I plan to have a chat with Cody at some point this week if he's feeling up to it.
