It's been just over a week now since Kisio threatened benchings for poor play. Yesterday Pogge tried to clear the puck up the middle ( by most accounts of the game he was trying to score) and in the end it cost the Hitmen a game. Pogge has played well since coming here but lately has been very lacsidasical playing the puck. The time has come for Kisio to follow through with his threats and set an example. Spence MUST start the next game. Yes it is against the Tigers but second place is a stretch anyway and the whole rest of the schedule doesn't get any easier.

Well Mr. Kisio, were you serious about the benchings or do you coach using idle threats?

Having two goalies ready, going into the playoffs is a must for any team wishing to go far.

As much as Pogge is our #1 goalie, our backup does need some game time in before the playoffs. Being placed in a playoff game rusty is not advisable for any team.

Maybe the perspective of a game or two on the bench, would help Pogge alot right now, and the rest of the team too.

Overall, I think Pogge has done alright. If we are going to bench players for one poor decision, there would be nobody left to play.

That said, Kisio has made a giant mistake in not playing Spence more often. Pogge needs to rest on occasion, and it was a criminal mistake that Kisio didnt get Spence in for one of the games against Regina and Swift, or for the game against Moose Jaw.
