The Greyhound WHL Player of the Week is forward Eric Fehr of the Brandon Wheat Kings. Fehr earned player of the week honours by recording five goals and eight points in three games including three power-play goals and a game-winning goal during the week of February 21st to February 27th. Fehr helped lead the Wheat Kings to a perfect 3-0 record for the week and extends their winning streak to 11 games.

Fehr, who currently has 51 goals, is the first 50 goal scorer in the WHL this season and becomes the first back-to-back 50 goal scorer since Layne Ulmer of the Swift Current Broncos recorded 50 and 63 goals in 1999-2000 and 2000-2001 respectively. Fehr scored 50 goals last season.

On Wednesday, February 23rd, Fehr scored two goals and added three assists in a 7-3 victory against the visiting Regina Pats. On Sunday, February 27th, Fehr recorded a hat-trick in a 4-3 win against the Pats in Regina.

Fehr, a 19-year-old from Winkler, Manitoba, was drafted in the 1st round, 18th overall by the Washington Capitals in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
