Calgary - The BOSTON PIZZA WHL Player of the Week is forward Jeff Topilko of the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Topilko earned player of the week honours by recording six goals and two assists, and a +5 rating in three games during the week of February 26th to March 4th, leading Brandon to three straight wins in that span, and helping them clinch the East Division title for the second time in three seasons.

On Wednesday, February 28th, Topilko notched a goal - the game-winner - to help the Wheat Kings to a 4-2 victory over the visiting Tri-City Americans. He was also named the game's 1st star.

On Friday, March 2nd, Topilko scored two goals, including the game-winner, added an assist, and was named the game's 1st star, leading the visiting Wheat Kings to a 4-0 shutout victory over the Saskatoon Blades.

On Saturday, March 3rd, Topilko scored three goals, including the game-winner, and added an assist as the Wheat Kings clinched the East Division title with an 8-5 win over the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors. He was also named the game's 1st star for the third straight game.

Topilko, a 20-year-old from Vegreville, AB, is in his fifth season in the WHL - all with the Wheat Kings - and is a free agent.

Honourable mention goes to Devin Setoguchi of the Prince George Cougars.
