Whether they are useful or not, who knows...but I was bored at work today.

1. The Tips have had 11 rookies see game action so far this season, 9 of them have been 16-year-olds.
2. The rookie who has played in the "least" number of games has been Matt Sawa with 20 games played, one assist and a +/- of -6.
3. Overall the rookies have scored 89 of the 457 points currently on the Tips roster (19.5%).
4. The Tips overall +/- rating is -130 for players currently on the roster.
5. Karel Hromes leads all the rookies with 7 power play goals...the other 10 have five... combined.
6. Out of the 1030 PIM's currently on the Tips roster, the Rookies account for 216 (20.1%).
7. The Silvertips have scored ONE Short Handed Goal this season (Alex Leavitt).
8. The Tips have NO players on the team averaging a point per game (Leavitt at .93 is 1st, Wheat at .79 is 2nd).
9. Through 63 games the Tips are the only team in the WHL to not have 1000 PIM's (931). The closest team is Lethbridge with 1081. The most is Saskatoon with 1568 (64 games). No team with the most PIM's lead their respective divisions.
10. The Tips have two players who have played in all 63 games (Heshka & Blatchford). Annesley missed one game due to the trade, otherwise he'd make the list as well.

Sawa is not a rookie. He has played 2 previous seasons on the league with Regina, allbeit sparingly!

I see that he did play with Regina in each of the past two seasons, but the whl.ca site has him listed as a rookie.
