A quickie ...
I know that while on the Penalty Kill, if a goal is scored, it doesn't go against the goalie's GAA, and also that the players on the ice don't get a "minus" for it ...
But:
Do the players on the Power Play get a "+" if a goal is scored?
Does the guy in the box get a "-" ?

AAbsolutly Nothing is awarded or demerited when a man advantage is assessed...No +...No -...No GAA change...that is for EVERYbody...

Thats all true but if a shorthanded goal is scored, the guys killing the penalty get a plus, while the guys on the power play get a minus.

exactly. And the reason for that is, since your minus a guy, instead up a guy, it's not a goal by your advantage.....

Thanks for clarifying.
Power play goals are counted in a goaltender's goals against average.
GAA = Goals Against / (Minutes Played / 60)
Example using current stats
Tyler Plante (Brn) - 104 GA/(2351 MIN/ 60) = 2.65
http://www.whl.ca/stats/statdisplay.php?type=individual_goalies_by_team&id=0&leagueId=26
The only goals that do NOT count as goals against for a goaltender are the empty net goals.
