It seems as though Jaden Schwartz is definetly going to college. He likely could have been a 1st overall pick but will likely not get picked at all. It appears as though his parents are dead set against the Whl as an option. Too bad. It is the best training ground for Whl players.

Why would you post that here? Is he a MJ bantam player? But anyhow, thats kinda between them and the scouts. Even if it is accurate.

If it wasnt accurate it could certainly mess up his position. Or be designed to scare off high round picks (rebuilding teams) to be available to low round picks (winning teams).

Regardless, a first rounder who is commiting to college early (in spite of the Ws decent Education package) would almost certainly be taken in mid to later rounds anyhow. As the prospects of talking him into joining the W by age 17 might be better than taking a flyer on a 10th round long shot.
