Calgary, AB - The Western Hockey League today announced that defenseman T.J. Fast (http://whl.ca/en/stats/player.php?id=24838) of the Tri-City Americans has been named the HUSKY WHL Player of the Month for March.
Fast, a product of Calgary, AB, scored two goals and added 11 assists for 13 points in nine games during the month of March, helping the Americans to an 8-1-0-0 record in that span.
The 19-year-old rookie rearguard, who joined the Americans in January after leaving Denver University, recorded points in eight consecutive games during the month of March. Fast also registered five multi-point games, and was the top-scoring defenseman in the WHL in March.
Fast's efforts earned him a Three Stars selection in three games during the month of March.
Fast, a Los Angeles Kings prospect, played 26 regular-season contests since joining the Americans, scoring three goals and 22 points, and helping the Americans to their best regular-season record in franchise history.
His accomplishments make T.J. Fast (http://whl.ca/en/stats/player.php?id=24838) a deserving choice as the HUSKY WHL Player of the Month for March.
