hard fought but not cheap -- could be some good games. :thumb:

I hope the games are entertaining too, at least the ones in Seattle. I haven't had a chance to see Vancouver this year, so that should be fun to watch. I've only see Rabbit play once and I've never seen McArdle so that will be cool as well. Any Vancouver fans coming down to Seattle for games 3 and 4?

The season match-up of these 2 teams ended in Jan so doesn't mean crap.

Thunderbirds try to regroup

Steve Ewen, The Province
Published: Friday, April 13, 2007
Seattle Thunderbirds star Aaron Gagnon was preaching mental strength as his team tries to get the WHL Western Conference semifinals back to the Emerald City.

"We have to believe in ourselves and believe in our own game," said the overage centre, whose club trails Vancouver 3-1 in the best-of-seven set heading into tonight's game at the Pacific Coliseum. "We can't get upset. We have to know we can win this game."

Gagnon will be key to any chances Seattle has. He finished second in the league in goals during the regular season with 42, despite playing just 59 games.

He has just one goal, to go with one assist, in the first four games of this series. He did have just one assist in the first four games of the opening-round set against the Tri-City Americans, though, and rallied to score five goals in the final two games.

"I have to contribute, other guys have to contribute," said Gagnon. "We have to put the puck in the net. I'll certainly try to bring my best game, create chances, contribute."

The Giants, who have largely used the defence pairing of Jon Blum and Brett Festerling against Gagnon, insist they aren't about to rest on their laurels against the Armstrong native.

Wednesday's 3-1 Vancouver win was the best Gagnon had looked since his dynamic effort in a 4-3 overtime triumph for Seattle in Game 1.

"You have to keep a stick close to him at all times," said Blum.

Met Gagnon's dad tonight .. nice guy.

well it was a better series for us than you T-Bird fans, but thanks for the games anyway. I hear the fans who went down there were treated fairly well and I don't recall anybody cat-calling down T-Bird fans up here, of which there were quite a few.

I'm sure we'll meet again :thumb: nhl

Saw a few faithful Birds fans tonight but in our section "V" the only Bird that was given a rough time was Yeomans. Tough time to be a 20 yr old goalie on a losing team. I felt bad for him when the "Yeomans" call rang out in the last period. I lead the charge in our section of "Warm up the Bus" so it would stop the Yeomans chants....sorry I lost out. Good luck Yeomans in your future..Your'e a good goaltender!

Ahhh Seattle the Moose Jaw of the west.

Wait they made the final last year

Well at least there is the Amerks to laugh at.

Thats for entertaining my family for the past 3 years Gagnon. Now that you're with Dallas--get stuffed :)

Good luck Jackson, love to see you back but Peoria gets more fans

Good luck Yeomans wherever you go.
