The Swift Current Broncos are proud to announce that long time goaltender Kyle Moir has been named the finalist for the Eastern Conference in this year’s Western Hockey League Humanitarian of the Year Award.

Moir spent 4 full seasons and parts of a 5th season with the Broncos and broke Canadian Hockey League records for career games played and minutes played by a goaltender. During his tenure with the Broncos, Moir devoted countless hours to the entire Southwest, SK community. Kyle was actively involved with the Prairie Post Reading Program and continually demonstrated outstanding community service, often times making appearances on his own time to lend a helping hand.

Ryan Bender of the Kamloops Blazers joins Moir as the other finalist representing the Western Conference. The WHL Awards Luncheon is set to take place on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007 at the Round Up Centre in Calgary, AB.
