980am Yikes!

What's with the radio crap? I was listening to the game on 980am, it was half way through the third and they switched to Dan Russell Sports talk? :evil: :evil:

The only reason I listen to 980am is beacause 730am goes off the air when the game ends or at least last night they did.

not to mention the horrible reception driving through downtown -- sounded like someone was vacuuming in the background.. that and crackling buzzing broadcast.

don't know why they don't stay on 730 for the post game show when they have Shaw broadcasting .. its pretty dumb if you ask me.

I think the switch happens when Shaw is broadcasting to make it easier for Dan Russell.

That and I think NW is hurting for sports now that the Canucks are gone.

730 AM carries the rest of the game and than it switches to 980 AM for the post-game on Sportstalk. Russell usually has a taped show for the portion when the WHL game is still going on. Usually the look back at sporting people.

The game was carried by both stations Wed night and half way thru the third period 980am switched to Dan Russell sports talk show.

This has happened on most nights. Both stations carry the game then at the end of the game 730am goes to weather/traffic and 980 finishes off the broadcast. :rolleyes:
