Last game was tight to begin with and then opened up in the third with a parade to the penalty box. Derek “Snapping Turtle” Dorsett was given a match penalty after biting Kenndal McArdle, and will not be in game five due to be suspended for one game by the league. A parade to penalty boxes ensued and the Giants capitalised on three of their opportunities in the third period to salt the game away. The Giants managed to get to Matt Keetley and could be in his head in game five.

The Giants need the effort and hunger for the net they had in the third for the full 60 minutes in game five. Sexsmith has to once again be solid and the Giants need to put traffic in front of Keetley whenever they can. The two scoring lines need to be ready to break to the net whenever the puck becomes available and the passes need to be harder and quicker when on the man-advantage. The Giants also need to bring emotion back into their game, but not be ruled by it. The soft chip passes need to stop and the G-Men have to have the kind of puck support they exhibited in game four.

The Tigers need to make the most of their man-advantage opportunities and get in under the Giants defense. They need to play their kind of positional hockey which works very well to eat the clock and take away ice to make plays. They also need to get their speed through to neutral zone so they can get by the stifling D of the Vancouver squad.

Should be a bit of a different game without The Snapping Turtle in the line-up and the Giants will need to take advantage of the lack of acerbity and distraction on the other side of the puck. The crowd is sure to be over ten thousand and the packed should create some nice momentum for the home team. Tim Kraus and Cody Franson are both question marks for Fridays game due to injuries incurred from cheap play on the part of the Tigers. Kraus was blindsided and Franson leveled from behind and had his head deliberately run into the glass.
