Once again, the Calgary Hitmen will attempt to break the regular season single game attendence record.

This time, it will be on Sunday, March 13th, 2005 versus the Kootenay Ice. Game start is 2:30 PM.

For the final home game before the playoffs, lets fill the DOME!

PS: The last time, they even had some fans in the nosebleed section (300's).

I don't think 19,600 are enough seats and I think they closed off some of the nose bleeds again this year. So the number will be even lower around 18,500ish.

Any one know what the Attendence Breaker needed is? I thought it was over 20,000

According to Peter Marher on the radio today: "I hear they've sold 15,000 tickets for that game already."

Rob Kerr: "Oh, I hear it's more than that."

Edit: From a 20/20 update.

14,300 tickets already sold for Fridays game.

15,800 sold for Sundays.

And I finally found what I am looking for. It seems that it can be done afterall:

From the winterhawks website: Portland Winter Hawks Fans hold WHL and CHL records for the largest single game crowd: 19,103 (March 15, 1997 - Rose Garden)

It can be done.

According to Mark Stiles, the Hitmen logo will very likely be painted on on centre ice at the Dome as well.

I looked all over the place for that

I just got my tickets, they only have green or nose bleeds left for the weekend games.

Hope to see you all there Friday.

That is freaken intense. That has got to be one hell of an atmosphere for a WHL game. I remember last year I went to a Detroit game there that looked sold out...and it was insanely loud and crazy in there when the Flames scored. Would love to go to that game!
