Seen and heard: The Edmonton Oilers will select Pats goalie Linden Rowat with one of their three first round picks at the June NHL Draft. What irks me is that the NHL has switched up their draft AGAIN and are doing Round 1 Friday night and the rest of the draft Saturday in Columbus.

But I dont see him ranked high on any on the rankings. Oilers might be able to get him 2nd round. They need to pick the best players available in the first round I think.

the oilers made a reach in 2004 when they picked dubnyk while a higher ranked and many would say better prospect was still available (marek schwartz). the oilers have gone off the board a few times and likely would do it again.

Dubnyk isnt even the top goaltender prospect for the Oilers right now. The Oilers scouting in my opinion needs to be better. To many of their first rounders havent turned in to anything special. Cogliano though should be good and Schremp should be as well.
