I see that Tyler Halliday has become an Oiler but not through Red Deer's loss in the expansion draft. Apparently he was property of the Bruins and they gave him up as part of the Bruins avoiding the oiler draft. Any word on the expansion draft??

The quote was:

June 5, 2007

The Chilliwack Bruins today completed a trade with the Edmonton Oil Kings. The Oil Kings acquire goaltender Alex Archibald and Bruins list player Tyler Halliday in lieu of Edmonton selecting a player from the Bruins unprotected list.

Archibald, 20, was acquired by Chilliwack during the Bruins expansion draft one year ago from the Prince Albert Raiders. As a Bruin, Archibald posted a record of 8-15-3-1 with a 3.71 GAA and a .880 save percentage. Archibald appeared in all five Bruins playoff games, posting a record of 1-3-1, with a 3.38 GAA and a .908 save percentage.

Halliday played last season with the Merritt Centennials of the BCHL and was formerly property of the Red Deer Rebels.
