The 2007 National Hockey League Entry Draft is set to take place this weekend at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. A new format this season will see the first round take place Friday evening at 5:00pm local time with the second through seventh rounds beginning Saturday morning at 8:00am local time.
The Broncos have numerous players eligible for this year’s draft aimed towards 1989 born players who are in their first year of draft eligibility. The Central Scouting Service final ranks from April 2007 have defenseman Paul Postma ranked 67th among North American born skaters. Postma is closely followed by teammate Eric Doyle who is ranked 69th. Derek Claffey, who played in his rookie season with the blue and black last season is ranked 146th.
