The Calgary Hitmen are trying to break the WHL attendance record of 19,103 this weekend, and seem well on their way to doing so, as it was announced yesterday that 14,300 tickets have already been sold for Friday's game, and over 15,800 for Sunday.

The Hitmen also have an excellent chance of finishing above 10,000 fans on average this weekend as well.

Great numbers, someone is making alot of money. Don't the Flames own part or all of the Hitmen?

Yes, the Flames own the Hitmen entirely.

They have no rent :)

I am going to get tickets this afternoon for Friday’s game, I work Sunday :( .

They need to have 34,100 or more people over the weekend to have 10,000 fans on average.

Right now they have 9585.88 average
325,920

After each game I will post the update here

yeah that sounds about right, but they are not in the WHL

I just got my tickets, they only have green or nose bleeds left for the weekend games.

Hope to see you all there Friday.

Well as RunTheGoalie mentioned:

... it was announced yesterday that 14,300 tickets have already been sold for Friday's game, and over 15,800 for Sunday.

That is 4,000 fans still needed to make it, and several days still.

Let's make both games a sellout!

Problem solved!

I know its quite off topic...kind of...but what car show is it?

But as I said in the other thread about the attendance...I would love to go to the Sunday game as it would be insanely intense. I was at a sold out Detroit game there,a nd when the Flames scored, it was nuts.

It is the 25th Annual Calgary International Auto & Truck Show, March 9-13, 2005.
Roundup Center & Corral, Stampede Park.

And as the Saddledome is part of the Stampede grounds (as are the Roundup Center and Corral), it sometimes gets crowded in the parking and C-Train.

Any updates on tickets sold?

18,279 tonight. Largest crowd to watch any WHL game in Calgary's history.

All I've heard for Sunday is "well over 16,000 sold."

344,199 this year
9834.25avg

Ticket scalpers where saying the game Sunday was very close to being sold out.

When we got there at 6:15 the two lower bowls where sold out for tonight’s games.

Reading another forum, it seems that the 100 and 200 levels are sold out. Only GA tickets in the 300s left. That would put advance sales over 17,000.

Go Hitmen Go, what a rockin time it would be to see this game. The old red mile will be full of girls taking off their tops! Or is the Hitmen girls classier than the Flames girls?

Not as many as on Friday.

The announced attendance was 18,028.

If only they did better on the ice Friday, I am sure we could have sold out for this afternoon's game.

I dont think it would have mattered. Sunday Afternoon starts arent that valuable usually, while the Rebels are widely known as a top rival, more so than Kootenay, plus they have Phaneuf, who draws fans out in Calgary.
