PATS SELECT INSAM IN 2nd ROUND

The Regina Pats have made their 2nd round draft pick in the 2007 CHL Import Draft, selecting right-winger Marco Insam 71st overall.

Insam (6’2”, 200lbs), a native of Milano, Italy, spent this past season with the Notre Dame Hounds Midget AAA team. In 49 games played, Insam collected 32 goals and 23 assists for 55 points. Insam’s coach with the Hounds was former Regina Pat star Dale Derkatch.

"Marco is a big, strong winger with a great shot, who just got better and better as the year went on. He had a great playoff, and the fact that he has already adjusted to North America should make the transition easier for him" commented Regina Pats General Manager Brent Parker following the selection.
