Pym Signs With Pats
The Regina Pats are pleased to announce that Winnipeg, MB native Alex Pym has signed a standard WHL educational agreement with the Regina Pats hockey club.
Alex, the 6’1, 182 pound defensemen, played last season with the Winnipeg Thrashers of the Manitoba Midget AAA Hockey League. In 58 games with the Thrashers, Pym recorded 10 goals and added 35 assists for 45 points, while also compiling 104 penalty minutes. Pym was a 3rd round, 51st overall selection by the Pats in the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft.
“We are very pleased that Alex has committed to the WHL and the Regina Pats. Alex had been considering other options but realized the best option for him to combine hockey and education was in the WHL. Alex is one of the best defense prospects in his age group and we look forward to seeing him in a Pats uniform” commented Regina Pats General Manager Brent Parker.
