The Rockets announced that former NHL'er Jeff Finley will take over the Assistant Coaching role left vacant by Huska’s promotion.

President and General Manager of the Rockets Bruce Hamilton stated; “Our organization is thrilled to have Jeff and his family join the Rockets. Jeff will bring a strong teaching presence to our defence in particular. Playing 18 seasons in professional hockey will be a very positive influence for our young blueliners.”
