Now it’s time to really get down to business. The 34 players remaining with the Edmonton Oil Kings don’t have much time to relax after a grueling training camp. There are only a few days left to prepare for their Inaugural Pre Season Tournament set for September 1st – 3rd at Servus Credit Union Place. The Oil Kings will host Kamloops, Kelowna, Prince George, Regina and Swift Current in an exhibition series.
The Oil Kings are excited to call St. Albert and Servus Credit Union Place home for the Labour Day weekend. You could be watching the next star of Canada’s world junior hockey team or even some future NHL’ers. This year’s roster will be picked over the next couple of weeks and some players will make it or break it this weekend, plus it will also be a chance for fans to come out and “learn the league”.
“The City of St. Albert and Servus Place will be a perfect fit for the Oil Kings to debut the on-ice product for the first time to local fans. We know the community loves their junior hockey and the new facilities are top notch.” says Oil Kings VP of Business Operations and Alternate Governor Nick Wilson. “I hope lots of people will help us test drive our product and see what the Western Hockey League and Edmonton Oil Kings are all about. Rexall Place will be rockin’ all season long. Get your sneak peak this Labour Day weekend.”
You can purchase a day pass for $10 or watch all 9 scheduled games over the course of the weekend for one low price of $25.
