With us finishing the tournament 2-1 and scoring 10gf and 11ga just wondering if they will cut the team down to 27-28 players or will they carry 34 players or how many ever they have until pre-season is over

Oil Kings GM Bob Green was on the Pipeline Show on the TEAM 1260 in Edmonton last Tuesday and said that he will be going with a 23-man roster; here is mine:

G - 1 Alex Archibald (OA)
G - 31 Dalyn Flette
F - N/A Robin Figren (Euro)
F - 9 Brent Raedeke
F - 11 Brandon Lockerby
F - 12 Shayne Neigum
F - 15 Brendan Dowd
F - 16 J.P. Szaszkiewicz - C
F - 17 Scott Skrudland
F - 18 Karey Peiper (OA)
F - 23 Craig McCallum
F - 25 Clayton Cumiskey
F - 27 Tomas Vincour (Euro)
F - 28 Brent Henke
F - 29 Brett Breitkreuz
D - 2 Karl Benke
D - 3 Lyon Messier (OA)
D - 4 Michael Hengen (OA) - A
D - 5 Tyler Hlookoff
D - 6 Bretton Stamler (OA) - A
D - 7 Cameron Cepek
D - 10 Henrik Tervonen
D - 20 Lance Redden

My 5 cuts that are left to be made are :
Send Back: F Rhett Rachinski, GK Chris Ward, D Drew Nichol, F Braeden Adamyk
Release : D Matt Swaby (OA)

From what I saw in the St.Albert Tournement and what I've read this looks like the roster. It is a toss up between Swaby and Messier for the final OA spot.. I went with the 5 OA's/2 Euro Rules.. I had 13 Forwards and 8 Defence but Green could easily go with 14 and 7.. Benke and Skrudland will be the Patrolman.. If 7 Defense Henrik Tervonen will be back in Midget. I'm Out.

Was Braden Adamyk sent back to Neepawa for sure and has Chris Ward also been cut?

No not yet.. It they Kings got 5 more cuts to make before they get down to a 23 man roster which Green said he is going to have.. Obviously there are 28 remaining in camp at the moment.

You said that it was a toss up between Swbay and Messier. How has Swaby looked during the pre-season? I am a Tri-City season ticket holder and he was my favorite player.

Thanks in Advance,
