Brandon, Manitoba -- The Western Hockey League's Wheat Kings will soon be welcoming 19-year old center Andrew Clark back to the fold as he's been reassigned to Brandon by the National Hockey League's St. Louis Blues.

Brandon's top returning scorer from last season, Andrew finished fourth in team scoring with career highs in goals (28), assists (32) and points (60).

While with the Blues, the Brandon product scored a shorthanded, game-tying goal late in the third period as St. Louis defeated Detroit's prospects 5-3 at the Traverse City Prospect Evaluation Tournament in Michigan on Tuesday.

A former member of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's Neepawa Natives, Clark is expected back in Brandon Wednesday night and will practice with the Wheat Kings on Thursday as the club continues preparations for this weekend's home and home pre-season series with the Moose Jaw Warriors.

Two Wheat Kings remain at NHL camps this week. 18-year old defenceman Keith Aulie is skating with the Calgary Flames while overage defenceman Daryl Boyle is at the Bruins' camp in Boston.

In other Wheat King news, the WHL club has brought 17-year old right-winger Buddy Yewchyn back to Brandon after the 5'10“ 170 lb. Winnipeg product was forced to miss most of this year's training camp due to injury. A former eighth round draft pick of the Wheat Kings, Yewchyn will practice Wednesday and Thursday and could be in the lineup this weekend against the Warriors.

Tickets to Friday's pre-season game against Moose Jaw, as well as the Wheat Kings' Coca Cola Home Opener on September 21st are on sale now at the Keystone Centre box office. Fans can also order by phone by calling 726-3555 or online at ticketmaster.ca

Why does he keep cutting some of these kids and then bringing them back a week later? Paul Ciarielli was last week and now Buddy Yewchyn (or how ever you spell it). Is this because of injuries or does he intend in keeping them around after all? He said the other day that converting one of the D into a forward is not ruled out...maybe that thought has changed...?

Yewchyn missed camp due to a injury.
