Tyler Shattock staked the Blazers to a 1-0 first-period lead with his 6th of the pre-season - converting a goalmouth rebound off a Travis Dunstall shot at 17:34. Brock Nixon drew the second assist. Shots were 12-10 Blazers. Kamloops was 0-for-2 on the PP while Kelowna was 0-for-1.

The Blazers added two more in the second period for a 3-0 lead after 40 minutes. Juuso Puustinen batted in an Alex Rodgers rebound on a powerplay at 2:42 to give the Blazers a 2-0 advantage. Jimmy Bubnick added the second assist. Then Rodgers backhanded a puck past Torrie Jung at 6:08 - with assists to Puustinen and Bubnick - to give the the Blazers their 3-goal lead. The Rockets had an extended 5-on-3 PP late in the second but couldn't capitalize. Shots in the second period were 9-6 Blazers - now 21-16 overall in favour of the home side.

The Rockets scored the only goal of the third period - coming with 17 seconds left - as Colin Long capitalized on a Blazer turnover right in front of Justin Leclerc. Shots in the third were 9-6 Kamloops...the shot clock ending 30-22 in the Blazers' favour on the night.

The Blazers ended the night 1-for-7 on the PP and 5-for-5 on the PK.
