Well RAIDER fans, round 2 this afternoon in the Queen city. Does Aime get the start, does Palazzo move to forward, does Campese get his first WHL win? Thoughts, comments? Boogaard'd

I thought the Raiders looked every bit as good as the Pats until we got into penalty trouble, the momentum shifted to the Pats with all those power plays, but we got back on somewhat neutral ground in the third. Who to start in the pipes? I might go back with Butler and Aime. We do need another forward or two, i've never been a fan of putting defencemen up front, but........

If we can stay out of the penalty box, it could be a good game.

Former Raider Cody Gross is certainly being given the opportunity to show his skills, and he looked good out there, good for him, too bad we lost him.

I don't understand why we are playing d as forwards when we have forwards who hardly played?

dobrowolski is injured. palazzo is scratched tonight, cody vann goes in. all healthy forwards are going to dress tonight.
gross was real impressive

oh great sounds like andy smith cant play due to a knee injury. now we are down to 10 forwards. ok now make it 9 forwards, trach collided with elder and looks to be out.

The whl site is reporting the Raiders with 1 fight in the 3rd and Regina had 3???? What were the Pats fighting each other??? Who was the other Raider in a fight in the 3rd besides Gauthier ??

Well, not sure if I've got this exactly right, hard to tell with WHL TV and its slightly less than crystal clear picture quality  , but if I remember right Mitchell got his major and misconduct for trying to pound on MacDonald (who got nothing because he just covered up).... Gauthier fought with Delahay(didnt look like either landed much, not sure)... Reich was aggressively trying to get at Gauthier but was physically escorted to the box by a linesman before he could get there, and then Gauthier was still in there and proceeded to go with Pyett and pound him pretty good...
I thought Gauthier maybe took that one a little too far, especially considering in his fight earlier in the game, Elder had his fist cocked when Gauthier was down and could have pounded him into the middle of next week, but chose to just skate away

I was looking forward to seeing how tough this vann kid really is tonight, but unfortunatly, aside from a couple hits or so, he didnt really show what he got. I got the impression from all the PA fans that he a tough guy, but I have yet to see any evidence of that.

The only fight I remember seeing him in is when Stoesz was throwing him around last year. I guess theres always next game.

He's usually pretty willing to get at it, but seeing as he's missed 3 games due to suspensions already this year, he probably wanted to see if he could actually get a full game under his belt

He started at forward but with all the majors and misconducts to other D, he got put back on D (where he belongs) and played most of the game there...

Raiders still need to lose 2 D and gain 2 forwards.....this program of putting D up front doesn't make a lot of sense to me.... no doubt they're trying to make a deal, but I guess nobody's ready to give them what they want, especially for what they're probably offering ....
...Pats look like they're not overrated for first this year... and it looks like Bruno's got some work to do to get the Raiders firing on all cylinders consistently...I thought they looked much better on Friday than they did today

well now that yellowhorn has been returned to tri
they have vey, felde, fast, and yellowhorn as 20's picking up either of the 3 forwards would boost the offense. also dansereau outta calgary is sitting at home and could be available. we are strong on defense and should deal from a position of strength to help address a needed boost to the scoring punch.

Watching the game live with the lack of a replay working in Regina, it was hard to tell, but the picture in the paper showed Lamb on top of Delahey. Lamb got nothing as well. The McDonald/Mitchell situation I thought was a mutual fight, but McDonald was done after Mitchell landed a punch, but oh well.

Also in the boxscore, Delahey got a penalty on the next shift as nothing was communicated what the penalties were to the benches apparently (only guessing) and he had been kicked out of the game.

Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come for the season in regards to the stripes.
