Everett, WA - The Everett Silvertips capped off a very successful week with a 3-1 victory over the Portland Winter Hawks at the Rose Garden on Sunday night. With the win, the Silvertips move to 2nd place in the U.S. Division with a record of 32-26-8-2. (74 points) The Silvertips have four more games to go in the regular season and are looking to win home ice advantage and 2nd place in the U.S. Division as the hockey club will be getting ready for the 2005 WHL Playoffs in a few weeks.

WHO'S HOT
Alex Leavitt (16 goals, 43 assists) continues to lead the Silvertips in scoring with 59 points. Leavitt also leads the hockey club with 43 assists. Torrie Wheat (25 goals, 29 assists) is 2nd on the Silvertips in scoring with 54 points. Wheat also leads the hockey club with 25 goals and is tied for 7th in the WHL with 14 power play goals. Shaun Heshka (11 goals, 25 assists) leads all Silvertips defenseman with 36 points. First year forward Zach Hamill (8 goals, 24 assists) is currently 4th on the Silvertips in scoring with 32 points. Hamill is also 8th in rookie scoring in the WHL and the top 16 year old scorer in the WHL. In goal, Michael Wall is currently 5th in the WHL in Goals Against Average (1.93), 2nd in Save Percentage (.930), 2nd in Shutouts (10), and tied for 8th in Wins (23). Rookie netminder Leland Irving has also posted quality numbers this season. Irving has compiled a 9-7-1 record with a 1.79 Goals Against Average and a Save Percentage of .929. Irving also has recorded 2 shutouts this season.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
The Everett Silvertips outscored their opponents this week by a margin of 14-6 as the Silvertips went 3-1 last week. Torrie Wheat connected with 3 goals and 2 assists in 4 games. Alex Leavitt also posted a good week with 5 assists. Karel Hromas, Ivan Baranka, Curtis Billsten, Kyle Annesley, and Jonathan Harty each tallied 3 points in the successful week.

SILVERTIPS SPECIALTY TEAM
The Everett Silvertips are tied for 8th in the WHL on the power play (67 for 365, 18.4%) and 1st in the WHL on the penalty kill (231 for 261, 88.5%).
