SCOTT JACKSON RETURNS TO T-BIRDS
20-year-old defenseman was at Training Camp of Detroit Red Wings
Seattle, September 25, 2007 - Seattle Thunderbirds General Manager Russ Farwell today announced defenseman Scott Jackson has been returned to the T-Birds by the Detroit Red Wings.
"We never expected to have Scott in our lineup this year," said Farwell. "His addition really solidifies both our defense and team leadership."
Jackson, originally selected by the St. Louis Blues in the second round, 32nd overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, will be entering his fifth year with the T-Birds.
Jackson has played in 268 games in a T-Birds uniform with 96 career points on 17 goals and 79 assists. He also has a career plus/minus rating of plus-59 with 163 penalty minutes.
The T-Birds open the season at home on Saturday, September 29, against the Everett Silvertips at KeyArena at 7:05 p.m.
