Medicine Hat, AB - Medicine Hat Tigers announce today they have completed a deal with the Portland Winter Hawks for the rights to 20-year-old forward Kevin Undershute.

In exchange, the Tigers will receive Portland's fourth round pick in the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft.

"Kevin has been a big part of our team for the last three years and was instrumental in last year's championship season," said Tigers' general manager/head coach Willie Desjardins.

"Kevin has brought skill, character and leadership to our team. In developing our young forwards, we felt Kevin may not get the ice time he deserves. Portland has indicated he will be a key player for them and will fill a leadership role," stated Desjardins.

"The Medicine Hat Tigers would like to thank not only Kevin but also his entire family for their contributions to the tradition of our team. Kevin will always be welcome here but now as part of our alumni.

In 170 regular season game, Undershute scored 34 goals added 53 assists for 87 points while picking up 182 penalty minutes.

The Tigers have a busy weekend playing host to the Saskatoon Blades tonight at The Arena and will see the Swift Current Broncos invade The Arena tomorrow night. Both games will be a 7:30 p.m. start.

Well portland now has 3 ex-tigers.
