I was expecting a lot faster game from Regina to be honest. But they clutched and grabbed a lot. Better than the Blades, but nowhere near as good as Calgary based on the 2 games this weekend, be interesting to see how tonights game goes between these 2 teams. Kraus was invisible, I was expecting good things out of Ross and Teubert but they were really poor all night. Rowatt was superb.
Do you guys think you're going to an offensive or defensive force? I assumed you'd be a slick, fast scoring machine, but it looked to me maybe you'll try and be strong defensively, clutch and grab a lot.

I forgot to mention that Valach, whilst tall, looks like a softie who doesn't want to hit or go in the corners. Probably get 40 points this year though. Better pair him up with a tough d-man partner.
Based on last nights game, I think that trade with Vancouver has made you more skilled but a lot softer and easier to play against.

My impressions from Saturday's game. Great goaltending by Rowat. Ross and Pyett can play on my team any day but thats it from this team----look overrated to me.----not enough offence from the forwards although Ofukany and Eberle were not playing. Kraus and Valach??---looks like Parker got taken in this deal although it is still very early. Valach----too slow and too soft--When a guy gets moved from team to team to team and you are 6'6 this cetainly raises red flags with me. Hill threw a viscious elbow at Fehr but he needs to remember ---its a long road that does't have a turn in it. Did not notice Kraus at all in this game----maybe he is still on Pacific time??

Remember that we had our top 2 goal scorers out of the lineup, and are still gettting used to new players(we got another OA spot, and should be getting one more too). It still isnt an excuse, though.

It was probably just a bad game on our part, everyone has them. I bet they will do better next time. I am sure that when this team gets its crap together, they will live up to the hype.

Yeah but dont forget, Brandon has 6 returning forwards and only 1 guy on the entire roster that is currently drafted by an NHL team (Aulie). 85% of the team is rookies and are doing an oustanding job against suposedly top teams in the CHL. If these kids are this good now and continue to develop, we could see more than our fare share of 50-goal scorers in the years to come.
