Edmonton, AB - Edmonton Oil Kings' General Manager Bob Green announced today 2 player transactions. Edmonton acquires 17 year old defenceman Adrian Van de Mosselaer from the Medicine Hat Tigers in exchange for a 6th round pick in the 2008 Bantam Draft.

That particular draft pick was originally the Tigers to begin with and previously acquired by Edmonton at the CHL Import draft.

The 6 foot 2, 195 pound native of Kelowna, BC played the 2006 - 07 season for the Okanagan Rockets in the BC Major Midget League. The 17 year old racked up 3 goals and 26 assists for 29 points in 32 games last season accumulating 100 penalty minutes along the way.

Adrian also played exhibition games for the Tigers in the last 3 seasons.

To make room on the roster, the Oil Kings' assigned defenceman Karl Benke to the Grande Prairie Storm of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.

Benke has played 68 career games in the WHL in parts of 4 seasons including 2 games for the Edmonton Oil Kings.
