Scouting report: Seattle (42-22-2-2) clinched the U.S. Division title more than a week ago and has spent the time since trying to fine tune for the playoffs. The T-birds looked strong in their last game, a 6-0 pasting of Spokane at home on Sunday.

However, Seattle has had all kinds of trouble in Everett this season. The Tips (32-26-8-2) have won all four meetings at the Everett Events Center, most recently a 5-1 victory last Friday. Seattle's 19-year-old goaltender Bryan Bridges (35-18-2, 1.78 goals against average, .928 save percentage), a candidate for the league's MVP award, has given up 13 goals in the four losses, once being pulled after surrendering goals on two of the first three shots he faced.

The T-birds are welcoming 19-year-old defenseman Zach FitzGerald back to the lineup. FitzGerald, tied for second in the league in penalty minutes with 226, missed the last meeting while serving a three-game suspension.

Twenty-year-old T-birds center Nate Thompson has been hot lately, scoring six goals in his last six games, including both in a 2-0 victory over Everett on Feb. 12. Also, 15-year-old defenseman Thomas Hickey, who was recently added to the roster, scored in his debut Sunday.

Everett will probably be without center Zach Hamill for the second straight game. Hamill is still resting a sprained ankle and will probably be saved until the weekend.
