HITMEN WELCOME BRONCOS -- The Calgary Hitmen (5-1-0-0) host the Swift Current Broncos (3-1-0-0) in one of four Western Hockey League contests on Wednesday, October 3rd.

The Hitmen, currently first in the Central Division, are coming off a 3-2 defeat in Regina on Sunday that snapped their season-opening five-game win streak. The Hitmen are 2-0 in two games on home ice this season, and have outscored their opponents by an 8-2 margin. Brett Sonne has scored four goals and six points in his last four games.

The Broncos skated to a 3-1 win in Lethbridge on Tuesday night for their second straight victory, and currently sit in a three-way tie for top spot in the East Division. The Broncos have played all their first four games on the road, and still have four road contests remaining, including Wednesday’s contest in Calgary, before they head home. Geordie Wudrick scored the game-inning goal in each of the Broncos’ last two wins.

It’s the first meeting of the season between the Hitmen and Broncos. The teams split four meetings last season.
