CALGARY, AB. - The BOSTON PIZZA WHL Player of the Week is forward Tyler Ennis of the Medicine Hat Tigers.

Ennis picked up three goals, five assists and was plus three, in the four games during the week of October 9th through to October 14th, helping the Tigers to a 4-0 record in that span.

On Wednesday, October 10th, at the Enmax Centrium in Red Deer, Ennis was instrumental defensively as his Tigers edged the Rebels 2-1.

On Friday, October 12th, the Tigers took on their rivals the Hurricanes at the Enmax Centre in Lethbridge. Ennis picked up two assists and was plus two as his Tigers defeated the Hurricanes 3-2.

The following evening, Saturday, October 13th, in the friendly confines of the Medicine Hat Arena, the Tigers played host to the expansion Edmonton Oil Kings. Ennis posted two goals and one assists in the 6-2 win over the Oil Kings. He was also named the games 1st Star.

The next day, Sunday, October 14th, divisional rivals the Lethbridge Hurricanes were back in Medicine Hat. Ennis recorded one goal and two assists to lead the Tigers to their third straight win over the Hurricanes, 4-3 in overtime. He was also named the games 2nd Star.

Ennis, an 18-year-old product from Edmonton, AB is in his third full season playing for the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League and is eligible for the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

The WHL has also nominated Kristofer Westblom of the Kelowna Rockets for the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week award.
