Broncos Trade Foucault to Ice
Here's the release from the Ice.

Jeff Chynoweth, General Manager of the Kootenay ICE Hockey Club, today announced the Club has acquired 17-year-old Forward Kris Foucault (Foo-cou) from the Swift Current Broncos in exchange for a sixth round pick in the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft.

“With just 11 forwards on our roster we knew we had to increase that number as soon as possible.

Kris brings size and offensive potential to our Club and gives us more depth in the 1990 age group,” added Chynoweth.

Kris Foucault will practice with the team tomorrow and is expected to be in the line up on Sunday against the Seattle Thunderbirds. He is also a cousin of Kootenay ICE Forward Tylan Stephens.

The trade gives Foucault a chance to play in the Western League as the Broncos clearly didn't have room for him on their roster as an 18 year-old forward.

Make no mistake he's a good player and would have filled in nicely on a call-up basis. This gives him a chance to play full-time. He has some skill and could provide Kootenay some help with their ailing line-up.

I am not to happy with this trade at all. We didn't even get value for Kris. He was a 5 rd choice and we only get a 6th round???? What is with that. I think Dad screwed son or was it to help dad out???? I thought Kris was going to be a great player in the Dub your thoughts.

LOL easy ice fan. There I just shook my head and .....nope still can't figure out how we only got a 6th round for him. Well at least it will almost be like a 5th due to the ice's bad record.
