FORTIN NAMED INTERIM DIRECTOR OF HOCKEY OPERATIONS
KAMLOOPS, BC - The Kamloops Blazers today announce the appointment of long-time scout Brian Fortin to the position of Interim Director of Hockey Operations. Fortin will take the lead role in all player personnel decisions effective immediately.
"Brian has been a valued member of our hockey staff for 19 years," says Blazers' co-owner Darryl Sydor. "He already has a strong relationship with our players, coaching staff, and scouts and that will help us maintain as much continuity in our hockey operations as possible."
Fortin will be the Blazers' "point man" on any personnel negotiations with other clubs, and will also assume responsibility for the Scouting Department and the Director of Player Personnel.
