In Calgary, Edmonton G Alex Archibald stopped 50 shots but it wasn’t enough as his Oil Kings were beaten 5-3 by the Hitmen. . . . Calgary (18-8-0-2) has won six of seven. . . . Edmonton (10-13-1-3) has lost six of seven and has dropped five of its last six away from home. . . . The Hitmen’s 55-shot barrage tied a franchise single-game record set Sept. 30, 1995, in a 7-5 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors. . . . Still, the game was tied 3-3 with 11 minutes to play. . . . Calgary RW Ian Schultz scored the winner at 9:03 of the third and Slovenian LW Bostjan Golicic added insurance with his second of the game and fourth of the seaosn just 38 seconds later. . . .
