As bad as the team was on "O" they were equally as good on "D". Held Seattle to 0/8 on the PP including two extended 5 on 3's. The issue is, they can't put the two squands together. They either outshoot a team and go with a 5-4 game or they play solid D and can't get shots. Beach and KAramnov were out, but you've got to have a system in place that generates more shots than that.
My real issue is with the silly penalties. Too many man, again? really? Delay of game, twice? really? There is just no discipline and no fear in these kids of discipline. Instad of the coach saying the kids need to play smarter....how about if he takes some responsibility and looks in the mirror? I said it at the time and I'll say it again, this team should ahve looked for another veteran coach when it came time for a change. Teams hiring rookie coaches are usually rebuilding teams or teams that don't have anything to attract a better candidate.
